Wire EDM, sometimes called WEDM, is a form of machining which is accomplished by using a thin wire that has the ability to cut in any X,Y,U,V direction. EDM is an acronym for “electric discharge machining.” This type of machining can effectively cut all types of material that conduct electrical current, regardless of whether it’s a hard or soft material.
